Howard Mumford Jones Papers, 1915-1980.

These papers consist of 74 articles and reviews written by Jones for periodical or pamphlet publication, clipping of reviews of his book THE AGE OF ENERGY and two brochures. The first box of the collection includes an inventory of these articles and reviews. A 1982 addition to these papers contains one volume (THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS), 12 addresses, 54 articles, and two poems. The complete collection of Jones' papers is in the Archives at Harvard University.

Jones was a Professor of English at Harvard, having joined the department in 1936; he retired in 1962 as Abbott Lawrence Lowell Professor of the Humanities.
